Accreditation Scheme

BALEAP has its own accreditation scheme for EAP courses.

Institutions are inspected every four years by two assessors, who inspect all aspects of the courses offered and submit a detailed report to the BALEAP Accreditation Scheme (BAS) committee. The assessors make recommendations to the BAS committee, which makes the final decision.

The aspects of the course considered in the accreditation are :

• Management and administration
• Staffing
• Resources and facilities
• Course design
• Teaching and learning
• Assessment
• Student welfare
• Course evaluation
