About HEAL
- The HEAL group aims to develop links between the HEA, the Higher Education Academy, and BALEAP. HEAL stands for ‘Higher Education Academy Link’. The group was formed in 2011 stimulated by the importance of the HEA Internationalisation project and the aim of making links to the work of BALEAP members, both using the web site and contributing to it if possible.
- We also aim to explore other potential links with the HEA such as the relationship between BALEAP’s TEAP competencies for EAP teachers (across 3 levels) and the UK PSF (Professional Standards Framework) which defines competencies for all teachers in higher education in the UK, across 4 levels in the revised framework (published November 2011). At a more general level we aim to pursue avenues which can link BALEAP members’ expertise to colleagues in the disciplines.
- We are a small but active group!
