Research and Publications
The Research and Publications sub-committee consists of the Research Officer and the Publications Officer, the book reviews editor and the PhD co-ordinator, together with the leaders of current working parties such as the Can-do project and the Tracking working party. The remit of this committee is to facilitate and promote research within BALEAP for the benefit of the BALEAP membership as a whole and to take responsibility for publishing the proceedings of the biennial conference and any other publications. The committee also manages the application process for the award for best dissertation on an EAP topic
The Research and Publications sub-committee oversees projects of general benefit to the membership. In recent years, projects have emerged from the membership to address specific needs. These have taken the form of Working Parties for the duration of the project.
Bids for new projects will be considered by the Executive Committee. New bids may come from individual institutions/members, but all projects must include collaborative work across BALEAP member institutions. The aims of the project must be of benefit to the membership as a whole, and a specific outcome, preferably in the form of a publication for dissemination, is expected. Anyone interesting in establishing a new project should contact the Research Officer (research@baleap.org.uk) in the first instance
