The Pre-sessional English Language programme is offered in the period from April to September. The programme relates your English Language development to themes, theories and thinkers relevant to a wide range of cultural studies subjects. English Language, Academic Study Skills, Cultural background Studies and Critical Analysis are covered in this intensive programme. It is designed for overseas students who are about to start full-time study in the Arts and Social Sciences at a UK University.

In recent years the programme has included the following courses:

Diploma / Certificate in English Language for the Arts & Social Sciences

The Unit also offers 2 one year full-time university accredited award bearing programmes:

a) Diploma in English Language for the Arts & Social Sciences (for students intending to pursue postgraduate study)

b) Certificate in English Language for the Arts & Social Sciences (for students intending to pursue undergraduate study)
