King’s College is one of the oldest, largest and most prestigious colleges of the University of London. It possesses a distinguished record of achievements in medicine, law, arts and sciences. Of some 17,000 students currently engaged in study on both undergraduate and postgraduate courses, nearly 4,000 are from overseas and represent more than 130 different countries. Pre-sessional Course in English & Study Skills for Academic Purposes
This full-time course is designed to help students coming to Britain to study at undergraduate or postgraduate level at university or college. The course is divided into 3 monthly stages with Stage I beginning in mid-June, Stage II in mid-July and Stage III in August.

Students' levels of English will be assessed on arrival and they will be assigned to an appropriate class (maximum size of 15 people). Their work will be monitored throughout the course and they will have weekly tutorial sessions in which to discuss their progress. Students needing to take or retake the IELTS exam can do so during the course.
Accommodation can be provided in a College Hall of Residence for those who need it.
Diploma in English & Academic Studies
A one-year university-validated course designed to prepare students for undergraduate or postgraduate study by focusing on Academic English and academic subject modules, including Business Studies, 20th Century History & International Relations, Law and Psychology.
