The Language Centre at Nottingham Trent University is looking for EAP tutors for its well-established and expanding pre-sessional courses which help prepare international students for postgraduate study at the University.

Main Duties

  • Preparation and teaching of sessions
  • Assessment and feedback, and report-writing
  • Record-keeping
  • To attend the paid two-day induction prior to the course, to attend a weekly team meeting, and to be available to liaise with colleagues as necessary for the smooth functioning of the course. The dates above include the induction as well as teaching dates.

The University can provide advice and assistance in finding suitable accommodation for applicants from outside the Nottingham area.

Applicants should have the Cambridge ESOL DELTA or an equivalent EFL teaching qualification, plus a first degree, together with substantial teaching experience.

Experience of EAP teaching would be an advantage.Experience of EAP teaching would be an advantage, as would an MA in TESOL or related subject.

Salary

Payment is currently £38.49 per teaching hour. Contracts are available for a negotiable weekly number of contact hours up to 21 per week, depending on experience and student numbers.
